Professionally not the same race. When someone formally ask you your race in a poll there's no chinese, japanese, etc. All it says is afroamerican, caucasian or ASIAN.
Idk if they descend from the same people, but afterall, don't we all descend from africans?
Yes and no. They are basically the same race, ie Mongoloid, but they have developed ever so slightly since the days of their forefathers into what could perhaps be seen as sub-races, That means you can see similarities in all three yet if you look harder you can see some other facial etc characteristics which denote them as being Japanese, Chinese etc.
I believe that of the three peoples you mentioned that Mongols/Mongolians would look most like the common ancester of all three.
