I personally do not think much different because his grandson Kublai Khan achieved what Genghis's was attempting to conquer China and he did. So I do not think things would have been too much different in the grand scheme of things had he lived longer, now maybe had Attila lived longer than we may never have seen Christianity explode and rather had seen it's extinction had he lived.

I must concur with Wolf. What the great Khan achived in his lifetime was simply amazing. And yet after the Death of Kubla it it shattered into hundreds of smaller nations.
I do not think his mailitary machine was much of a threat to Europe, his line of supply and communications was strecthed and was not suit to the forest and mountainous terrain of Europe. Like the Roman Empire the sheer size of his conquest made it difficult to govern and maintain effectively.

I think the greatest effect he had upon Europe was the alliance with Moscow (;atter to become Russia), without the Great khan Moscow would have been just another timber town in Russia.

The expansion of the Mongols would eventually expire. This mostly because of long supply lines and loss of man power. The European countries would have banded together to fight the threat and stop the Khan's advance.
Even though the complete control of the established empire of the Khan was in its discipline it would have suffered the fate of all dictatorship, rebellion and hate for the regime.
