Most airlines allow kids 15 and over to fly as adults. You could call your airline and ask, but I am sure 16 is just fine. You do need a letter of parental permission. See site below and on page 4 you can print out a form to use. Sounds like you are going on quite an adventure.

You can go alone now as a minor but you need forms signed by your parents saying you are allowed, you have a certain person picking you up, and your are to be watched buy one of the airport workers.
