Being an actor or actress is not dependent upon being pretty enough. Actors portray people and people come in all shapes and sizes and levels of ugly or beautiful.
Whether or not you are good at acting is irrelevant right now and you're probably not as good as you think you are anyway. Becoming a professional working actor is as much a business as becoming a professional anything else. Because you are not yet 18 you will need your parents to pursue the industry with you. If you're in London start tackling the business there.
it doesn't matter how pretty you are. u just have an acceptable appearance. being not dirty. u have to have experience, for example, drama club, theater, acting classes, plays and etc. once u have had alot of people tell you your ready to audition you audition. well before you audition, you should get an agent. its a long process. its taking me a while, with getting acting classes:) but i hope it doesn't take longer than 2 yrs:) anyway hope i helped:) good luck!!
It's not always about looks, it's about a lot of skill and a little bit of luck. Being an actor or actress is a dream that many people have, and the truth is very few of them ever become successful or star in films. While there are a lot of people out there who make it to the top just for looking good, that's not what you need be concerned about. Most of those people are terrible actors anyway.
As with any art form, it shouldn't be about making it to the top and being famous. It should be about doing what you love and trying your best at it. If you want to act just so that you can be famous, then acting just isn't for you. Your main focus should be the acting itself, and while it's never a bad thing to dream, you should always stay humble as well as hopeful. As soon as acting becomes more about the money or the fame, you'll start to fade in your abilities. The same goes for music and pretty much every other art form out there.
Do what you love because you love it and it will benefit you in the end. You might not be the next big movie star, but doing what makes you happy will ultimately improve the quality of your life more than money or fame ever could.
But you have a dream, and I guess you have to start somewhere, don't you? Audition for a local play. If you get in, you're on your way. Maybe find a theater in the city that has shows regularly and keep trying out for parts in their shows. It's not the best system in the world, but everyone has their own beginning and this could be yours if you really want it.
You have pretty big ambitions, and that's great. But you're still so young! I turn 16 in two weeks, and I hope to have a career in music, but I don't expect to be famous within the next couple of years. In fact, I don't expect to be famous at all. I have talent in what I do (guitar, drums, singing, writing) but expecting the best can be a bad approach in our case. If I expect myself to become a world famous rock star, I'm going to be disappointed in myself when I end up barely making ends meet playing music. But on the other hand, if I expect myself to barely make any money by playing music, then if I get better than that I'll be pleasantly surprised. And if not, I'll probably be somewhat disappointed but in the end at least it won't be completely unexpected. And same should go for you.
Looks shouldn't matter, fame shouldn't matter. All that matters is that you're doing what makes you happy. If you end up in an acting gig that barely makes you enough to get by, it won't matter as long as you enjoy what you're doing. If not, find something else to do. It's that simple.
Whatever happens, I wish you good luck. And who knows, maybe I'll see you on the big screen someday!
