How are you stuck? You have to collect a relic, put it in the monastery and then kill.

make sure you build up your guys… and make a lot of villagers
and make them get lots of wood, and food so you can make a bigger army. oh and build lots of houses! =)

p.s. you should get AOE 3. I have it and its so fun!
