If you mean the past it would have to be the way past. And I mean before Turkey had its present borders and its current name. The mongolian empire definetly came through that area though and into eastern europe too. That was a long long time ago. You should go to wikipedia and look up the mongol empire.

No. The area that is known as Turkey today did not take part of being conquered or at war with Mongolia or the Mongolian Empire.

HOWEVER Mongolia, since prehistoric times, has been inhabited by nomads who, from time to time, formed great confederations that rose to prominence. These nomads include tribes and people such as the Tumed, Chahar, Ordos, Bargut (or Barga), Buryats, Dörböd (Dörvöd, Dörbed), Torguud, Dariganga, Üzemchin (or Üzümchin), Bayid, Khoton, Myangad (Mingad), Zakhchin (Zakchin), Darkhad, and Oirats (or Öölds or Ölöts)
who are ALL counted as tribes of the Mongols and these people are now considered Mongolians.

Historical documents find that few of these tribes have originated from areas that are now known as Turkey which is why there are some still living there.

Of course they did!!!
well not with Turkey in it's current borders, it used to be part of the Islamic state, check out Genghis Khan and his grandson Hulagu Khan and their biography and you'll know that they decimated half the world.

Under Hulagu's leadership, the Mongols destroyed the greatest center of Islamic power, Baghdad, and also weakened Damascus, causing a shift of Islamic influence to the Mamluks in Cairo. It was also in Hulagu's reign that historians switched from writing in Arabic to writing in Persian.

Check out Genghis Kahn. No other warrior fought so hard or conquered more lands in the history of this world.
