Genghis Khan was a Mongol. It was him, not his Sons who did take China and His whole Empire. It was split between his sons after his death. They are still trying to find where Genghis Khan was buried at!

Genghis Khan was a Mongol. He conquered the larger part of China among other countries. He's historically considered in the world as the founder of the YUAN, not Ying, Dynasty, therefore, an Emperor, not king, of China. The dynasty he founded was short lived and we know of it, in the West, because of Marco Polo and for its failed attempts to conquer Japan. Now, Chinese official history, both Beijing's and Taiwan's may have their own version of Genghis.

Yes, you are missing reading serious history books and with more depth. That will help you also to improve your English language skills.

The Romans conquered and rule Britain for a number of centuries. Did that make the Roman emperors British? The British ruled India for a long time. Did that make Queen Victoria Indian?

One can be the ruler of another country without actually being ethnically a part of that country. Genghis Khan conquered China and he and his descendants ruled it for some time. That does not make the great Khan Chinese.
