I have always found Genghis Khan and the army of horsemen he led very unique and quite interesting. Great movie and thanks for sharing it with us.

But he is also lenient and honest at the same time. He is only brutal and merciless if his enemies stubbornly refuse to surrender and kept rebelling. But at the same time, he will honor his word and spare his enemies if they surrender without resisting. This way, it is much easier to conquer a new territory.

I'd recommend Peter Green's Alexander of Macedon who died very young, hated by many. Not much "humane"? about him. See also Jack Weatherford's Genghis Khan based on The Secret History of the Mongols. GK died at age 70 revered by his subjects, having united more nations than Alexander dreamed of.

As far as conquerors go, Genghis Khan ranks up there with Alexander the Great and perhaps Gen. Khalid ibn al Walid. Though certainly the last two were more humane.

real history is that he has never been in prison like that.and some parts in this movie has a chineese language.Mongolians never spoke in chineese. This movie turned bullshit since the part7 of this movie.History is going kinda true until part 6.And here genghis khan's wife looks like a fucking slut. She has never been slut like that.

Yes his father kidnapped a wife for himself.

"his father kidnapped his mom. his dad was poisoned. he was captured by his father's clan and merkids. he escaped. he befriends borte's clan and jamuka." it sounds like a complicated love triangle relationship. can you (smartnuts) straight out this ugly snake for me?

lifes40123 @ 11:34 pm

yeah this movie does match only a few parts a not real u dumbnut. his father kidnapped his mom. his dad was poisoned. he was captured by his father's clan and merkids. he escaped. he befriends borte's clan and jamuka.
