She is a really incredible dancer. The best one I have ever seen. The way that she is able to combine flexibility with speed and strength..along with the incredible balance it takes to spin without moving your axis from side to side…Very, very impressive.
You guys should also watch another bowl dance that Sugarsweet87 posted, the "Beautiful girl", which is even more impressive, I think.
In a presentation, how can it be pure mongolian or something. Combination or adaption is normal, which would show the actress' ability to use different elements of performance to interpret the story. Why bother these irrelevant stuff? It's art, not politics. It.'s beauty, not hatred. It's pretty, not ugly.
(cont.) But she places the bowls (very reverantly) along her pathway to guide her (hoped-for) lover to her. She dances around the bowls, weaving a spell and spreading her, uh . . . perfume over them. She imagines him riding a horse to follow her (the strange, awkward, crouching and twitching steps she does. She goes to the end of her path (home?) on the right side of the stage. Then, she hears a sound! Is it her lover? She rushes forward, arms out to greet him!
Does anyone see the story in this dance? Here's what I get: This woman gets up at dawn and walks thru the countryside to a village market place, where she sells food (hence, the bowls). She is flirtatious and charming, and this attracts many customers. However, one of them is very special; this is when she gets on her knees and sort of shimmys over to the bowls, then presents a bowl, using both hands (a mark of respect in some cultures). When the market place closes down, she starts home.
Are nowaday's outer Mongolia really mongolia? They don't use the ancester's language but some Russian style language. They don't even stick to their own asian and normadic tradition.
Inner Mongolian is Mongolian. They actually kept their traditional language, not like outer Mongolian, heavilly influenced by Russian (I don't mean that's a bad thing, but the language is pretty much changed). Also, you should know, even in outer Mongolia (the country), there are regional differences in culture and art. This dance is beautiful. You are pretty crap indeed.

Whether it's inner, outer, or middle Mongolia, or Chinese, this dance is beautiful to watch. Thanks for posting.
(cont.) Ahh, but he is not there! She reels, then covers her face and sinks down in despair. She then recovers her dignity and walks back home, alone.
