i would like to know too the origins of han people… i have never visited modern china but have come to know people from south looks totally different from north and from west in china.. as a southern chinese i believe to have descended more from vietnam than original Han.. when Qin conquered Yue state that reaches from modern Quangdong to Fujian proviences of china. thus Han may or may not mixed.
haha not as simple my friend but i guess they have also found specimens on the peking man to be oldest form and is believed to have transform in modern yellow skinned human kind… besides the java man and african human prototypes… i do agree with you that mongols do have different similarties and are closer to central asians and thats where mongolia's heartland is about…. yet again if your talking about south chinese is dirrerent and close to south asian than koreans and north chinese
well all humans came from africa. There is no question about if we have any connections with other asians. But this doesn't mean genetically and culturally we are same. There are many genetic studies show clear results that mongols are more than close to central asians by specific haplogroups, while chinese koreans and japs and south east asians were close to each other.
Thanks for the information on it.. but i would say in a more eastern perception as historically and resamblances from japanese koreans chinese or even vietnamise we were to have the came from the same ancestors in the most ancient times… i agree that thru establishment of cultures and landmark creates a different culture and divides human kind… Ie the early Qin which established his empire that reunite "South and west state of Qin state" which demarked his land which it belongs
yes my friend your right huns are not really of typical mongoloid look and resamblance of siberian perhaps.. have not looked at a pure Huns before and even there true origins were unknown but to have appeared in the heartland of mongolia.. just like the look of mongols some may looked russo.. some typical mongoloid and some of turkic … just for information "chinese" is not = Han typically… as chinese is a term for many small enthic groups a south chinese looked different from north.
Qing dynasty was manchurian rule and resides in north eastern region in todays china… yet again manchuria state was again overuled by many enthic groups ie Kithans, Han, koreans and other smaller groups. during the fall of Ming dynasty manchurian ordered "chinese" to obey their custom or headed and was a time frame given to conform. but "chinese" choose not to as an allegiance to Ming and resulted in many deaths. Soon many of the manchu have assilmilated into chinese
nice one but i have not been into the yuan dynasty era b4 and i cannot really assume things told to be factual or not even if is written in historical manner… so much so that kublai khan which he created beijing as capital of yuan and i would not say that chinese would intermarriage with the mongolians cause in chinese text mongols were termed as Xiong nu as barbarians. yet with chinese advancement and culture mongols have adopted alot from chinese at yuan which lasted decades
the term mongoloid is created in the 18th century by one western anthropologist. He had no knowlegde of asia at all and overgeneralized all asian looking people as mongoloids. This term is no longer used in scientific purposes simply because it is not accurate and discrete. In other words the term 'mongoloid race' has little or no connection with central asian nomadic people called Mongols
and in the end it all depends on what you think as turks. If you think turks as today's turkish people, then of course Mongols have an extremely distant relationship with them in the time time scale of thousands of years.
But the term turkic refers to most central asian nomads including Mongols. There is an overwhelming evidence to support the claim that original Huns we're asian looking people. Again this doesn't mean Huns we're chinese, just looking asian doesn't mean its chinese.
You might not know during the Qing dynasty, Manjuur people ruled china. After conquering china completely, they have defeated Mongols in 18th century. Manjuurs today almost 'extinct' they had same nomadic central asian roots as us. And they have even made a strict law as in Yuan dynasty against the intermarriage between a han chinese and a Mongol.
1. those intermarriages were very few and are only between the prince and princess of sides not between regular people.
2. During Yuan dynasty Mongols ruled china. According to their social hierarchy, Mongols we're at the top and han chinese were at the bottom of the list of 5. Mongols never marry a han chinese woman, because it will degrade his social status. In fact majority of Mongols we're living in the steppes of Mongolia, rather than in china.
@astr0tugi i guess far as during china's Han dynasty there were intermarriages between chinese into mongolians (xiongnu) … to claim peace treaty as Han was loosing its power when Xiong nu became hard to handle… second wave is when yuan dynasty (mongolian rule) and far much beyond that most of the mongoloid races were derived mainly from mongolia and we resembles same to almost alike… yet is hard to determine but too naive to address mongolian as turks …
mongols historically avoided mixing with chinese. There is no historical evidence to support your claim that mongols are mixed with chinese.
Today's turks are so much mixed with arabs, doesn't meant asian looking people are not turkic. Uzbeks, Kazakhs, Kyrgyzs, UIghurs are all asian looking people and all turkic.

the mongolians are not exactly of turkic people … mongolia being sharing boders with china , manchurian and to as far as western turkic part of central asia thus mongolians are very mixed… i would say mongolians as mongoloid people are traditionally closer to chinese, korean and japanese people in terms of resembalance… but western mongols have again mixed with turkic people thus is not easily addressed as mongols are turkic

but more than 90% of china's 1 billion population is han, therefore its not that off to say chinese is han chinese
