Genghis Khan was Mongolian.
Therefore, his descent is traceable primarily in Central Asia.

Genghis Khan's DNA can be found on 8% of the men in large region of Asia (0.5% of the men in the world)

It's not very clear, but it is mostly the countries whose names you have trouble pronouncing. Seriously. And yes, most of these people are in Central Asia.

However, it is likely that the people may also be found in China. When the Manchurians and Mongolians fought with the Chinese, there was absolute chaos and nobody really knew who married who. But some of the Mongolians or Manchurians married the Han Chinese in China, and the descendents survive up till today.

There are also certain ethnic minority groups in China who may also be descended from Genghis Khan. In fact, some of the Han Chinese today have a little of Manchurian blood in them.
