What clothing should i wear at hohhot, inner mongolia this end of April? How is the climate there?

It is spring in Hohhot in Nei Menghu Ziziqu (Inner Mongolia) and is quite cold and windy.
You should bring jackets, windbreakers, or sweaters during this time.
Black is a symbol of death for nearly all East Asian cultures so it must be avoided.
I can't answer the weather question, but I wanted to comment about the wearing black. Yes, you can wear black. People wear black all the time here. I live south of Inner Mongolia and most of my students wear black on a daily basis. It is most definitely NOT associated with death (in fact, white is a color of mourning) and you will have no problems wearing a black jacket.
