I have yet to have the privilege of visiting the Himalayas, but I have spent a good bit of time in the Andes. I have noted the physical similarities from pictures of Mongolians. Personally, I favor the geological influence as an explanation of those physical similarities: those very high and cold mountains. The Andes are close enough to the sun that I squint there, too, but it takes generations for it to evolve into a genetic trait. You'll burn more quickly in that sun than on the beach. Short hair is easier to keep under a cap. Etc., etc.

Can't and won't attest to any spiritual similarities/differences, though. I am fanatical about letting those be intensely personal.

No, I don't think so. They look soo different from us.
