Countires do not have virtually nothing in common except a low rate of HIV (less than a tenth of a percentage in 2005) however have nothing in common. Moreover, countries such as Haiti, Russia, Angola and Thailand have a different rate high and the United States, Somalia, Brazil, India and Spain leave a whole around one percent. Sociological factors that dictate this disease 's reality? Cause their people have been educated on HIV, and know to use protection. But there are so many discoveries being found about HIV/AIDS each year, so eventually we might have a cure.

Culture.

In those countries they probably look at sex differently then the people in the U.S. who think its just a game, not realizing it can effect them for the rest of their lives.

Somalia has no economy so there was no trade between Somalia and other African nations with higher HIV infection rates. Truckers in Africa usually pick up prostitutes inbetween deliveries and spread the disease along their routes, but since there was not trade with Somalia, their HIV rate is low.

Russia has a high HIV rate because of high drug use rates and many people prostituting. Some Russian women go to other nations to prostitute themselves and some of them pick up the disease and bring it back.

In Spain, many HIV positive people from Africa go to Spain to recieve healthcare.

India and Southeast Asia have a higher HIV rate due to poverty and many people prostituting themselves. Some Southeast Asian nations have high HIV rates due to "Sex Tourism".

Many countries where people are Muslims (Senegal, North Africa, Middle East) have lower HIV rates because they do not have sex until they are married.

In wealthier countries, HIV rates tend to be lower but this is not always the case. South Africa and Botswana are some of the richest nations in Africa but they have very high HIV rates (over 20% of the adult population is infected)
