I was getting ready to answer your questions , but when I read that one about Columbus not caring about his salesman, I figured it must be a joke . What was he selling anyway ?
2. because him and his hordes slaughtered everyone in the villages they conquered.
3. well, the answer to this is debatable. everything from the "some races are just smarter" to, (what i would think is the real answer) the south had outside influences… (wait, do you mean indians of india or the americas?)
4. no he was not a madman, however he was brave (many people were afraid to sail farther than what was explored) and i would say he did care about indians and his salesman
5. hmm, im not sure.
6. the grammar doesnt make sense in this question. i would say jews have suffered the most death, and catholics of christains have killed the most..
7) Socialism is for high taxation, the redistribution of wealth, more social programs, etc. and it's primarily a democracy and not as extreme as the other two forms. Communism is basically a classless society where wealth is owned by the state and everyone is equal. It's more of a broad descriptor that can be divided up into different types. Bolshevism is basically the type of communism that the USSR ended up with, originating under Lenin.
1.) your quote is slightly off but basically he was refering to the way science in his time used energy for motion. An example are when you see pictures of loggers from the early nineteenth century and all those logs flowing down a river it was his idea to build these waterways and use them to move cut logs down the rivers by using mother natures own natural motion of gravity. Scientist of the time were experimenting with trying to create energy with motion (think lightbulbs, batteries, etc.) his inspiration for ideas came from nature he watched how water naturally moves and came up with the afore mentioned water ways.
2.)Gengis Khan was branded a mass murder because he used warfare tactics never before seen by historians of the time. There are a few writings left by Genghis Khanand those show a man of great confidence that is often misconstrued as ego. You are speaking about a man whos family had been exiled when he was only five and had to live off the land at a time when people who walked onto some one elses land it was normal to kill that person. He rose swiftly through the ranks and became a man that acted quickly and harcshly but also wisely.
3..)The South Indians as you called them were in no way more advanced or less advanced. The cities you refer to were very advanced for thier time yes however because of geography, climate etc, it made it rather difficult for Indians from the North (I am assuming you mean Native Americans) to gather these same populations. As for housing there were first off many divisions of Native Americans whom used perm. housing those that did not used tenting type homes because they followed food or weather. If you do a bit more studying you will see Native Americans in the Northern part of the US parts like today's New York used long homes which were log homes that looked like gigantic wharehouses. Another point that may be interesting is if you see these people(The southern) to be far superior to thier northern counterparts then why is it most of thier numbers were descimated while though Native Americans of the US were definately lowered by settlers they were not wiped out as some of the Southern were. A point also to be made is be objective when reading these histories. Those that wrote the histpory of the Southern Indians (Like Mayan and Aztecs) were trying to impress a Queen and King so funding for thier explorations could keep coming. Writings on the Native Americans were written by ettlers trying to explain why these people need to be "civilized" and have thier lands taken from them because they did not follow the cultures of those taking over.
4.) I would not say Colombus was so much a madman as he was simply an egocentric, embittered, thief. A simple google search will show who why MANY MANY MANY MANY people feel Colombus does not deserve the multiplitude of credits he has been given. As for Salesman he didnt have any that I know of and i have studied him extensivly.
5.)This is an arbitrary question. What one may think is evil another may not think so. If you were to ask 100 random people on the street who the most evil women in history is right now you would probably hear a number of Lizzie Bordens, Countess Bathory, and so on and so forth even including a few Hillary Clintons. Are gauging evil upon how many were killed by her direct order, or by her direct hand, how about because ofher polocies, etc. You'll have to clarify that question.
6.) The number goes well into the millions if not billions. Death has always been, is now, and always will be brought upon a group of people "in the name of God" or "in the name Allah, or any other religious righteous movement people conqueour up in thier imagination.
7.)Communisim is a society where there are no governments, classes, countries, states, etc. Basically everyone is equal regardless of anything period. A doctor and a garbage man make the same money, live in the same style, etc. If some new technology comes along it is shared equally by all. Socialisim is basically the same thing with a few differences in socialisim everything is owned by the people so lets take a factory that creates cars, in America currently that factory may be owned by a private owner, or a company that owns these particular factories, in socialisim the people would own that factory and all the cars it produces. the basic theory is Socialisim would lead to equality for all therefore creating true communisim described above. (The problem with these theories is there has to be at some point a way of making sure no one can take advantage of this system or regulating it, therefore creating a governing body which is esseence the very thing these sytems are against.)Bolshevism is a quasi socialisim stemming from the russian Revolutionthat centerlized government and pretended to be practicing true communisim.
8.) Because they could little afford financially to keep fighting and they were facing far greater troubles in thier homelands.
